UNFPA/Youth Programme component was honored by SHABAB, which is part of Syria Trust for Development under the supervision of the First Lady, during celebrating strategic partners contributed to their programmes which reached more than 100,000 young people in Syria.

Ms. Raya Shukr UNFPA NPO (Youth-HIV/AIDS) was honored during the event and received her certificate in appreciation of UNFPA support to SHABAB activities in the country. 

The event took place on Wed 17th March 2010, was attended by Abdullah Dardari (Deputy Prime Minister) and Mr. Ismail Ould Cheik Ahmad (UNRC), Minister of Information, Ministers of Education and Higher education and group of private sector entities, experts, and NGOs. The event was covered in local media and published in SHABAB website.
